Legacy Giving
The Indy Legal Aid Legacy Fund is an important way for you to leave your lasting legacy in our community. Planned or Legacy giving is the process of making the decision – while a donor is alive – to give a charitable gift upon the donor’s passing. Proceeds from legacy gifts flow into the fund. Your annual support of Indy Legal Aid is vital to our ongoing services and programs, and by establishing a planned gift to the Indianapolis Legal Aid Society, you will help ensure we continue serving the disadvantaged well into the future. There are many types of planned gifts which offer favorable financial and/or tax benefits to the donor.
Here are a few ways to make a planned gift: Remember Indy Legal Aid in your will; donate stocks; set up a charitable trust; donate through Life Insurance or your retirement plan. Indy Legal Aid recommends that you consult an estate planning professional about these or other planned giving options.
If you wish to notify us of a Legacy or Planned Gift, please contact Lisa Harding, Development and Communications Director, at lisah@indylas.org or 317.217.5344.
