When you Arrive - Due to Covid-19, currently, all client interaction is being conducted remotely.
When you walk into our office, you will be greeted by our receptionist and you will be asked to sign in. You will then wait for an available attorney. The wait is usually less than 15 minutes; however, some days the wait might be much longer depending on the number of clients and the complex nature of cases presented to our attorneys on any given day. For reasons of confidentiality, other family members or friends who come with you may be asked to remain in the waiting room.
When you first meet with an attorney, he or she will collect information about you, your case, your income/assets, and your family. The attorney will discuss the details of your case with you, and then evaluate your case to determine whether Indy Legal Aid is able to assist you.

If your income is above our guidelines, you may be referred to a member of our Lawyer Referral Service.
